Yamaha India has launched the FZ-X Hybrid, adding a new name to its popular commuter motorcycle range. The ex-showroom price of this new bike has been kept at ₹ 1.50 lakh. This new variant is ₹ 20,000 more expensive than the standard FZ-X and is offered in just one color option – Matte Green with Golden Wheels.
The Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid is powered by the same old, reliable 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates 12.4hp of power and 13.3Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and is similar to the standard FZ-X in terms of performance.
The biggest change in the FZ-X Hybrid is its hybrid system, which gets Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). This technology enables silent start and start/stop feature, thereby saving fuel. Its purpose is not to increase performance, but to improve fuel efficiency.
This bike has a new 4.2-inch color TFT display which was previously available only in the FZ-S Hybrid. It also gets new switchgear, so that the rider can easily control all the functions of the dashboard.
In terms of design, the FZ-X Hybrid is similar to its standard model, but its weight is 2 kg more i.e. 141 kg. Its look looks very attractive with matte titan green paint and golden alloy wheels.
The price of the new FZ-X Hybrid is ₹ 1.50 lakh, which is ₹ 20,000 more than the standard FZ-X and ₹ 5,000 more than the FZ-S Hybrid. In return, you get better technology, style and fuel efficiency.
The Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid is a great option for riders who are looking for stylish design, better technology and mileage-friendly performance. Although the engine output is the same old, the hybrid system and technological upgrades give it a new identity in the market. This bike can prove to be especially useful for urban users and daily commuters.
