VinFast has started pre-booking of its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India. Both these SUVs are going to be launched this festive season. Let’s know the special things related to the features, range, design and price of these powerful electric cars.
Booking of VinFast VF6 and VF7 has started from today. Interested customers can book from the company’s website or nearest dealership by paying a refundable amount of ₹ 21,000. VinFast has partnered with 13 dealer groups in India and has launched 32 outlets in 27 cities, and this number can reach 35 by the end of the year.
The company has set up its assembly plant in India in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. From here, VF6 and VF7 will be manufactured locally, making their price competitive.
The design of VF7 is like a premium crossover. It gets a sloping roofline, LED headlights and taillights, hidden door handles and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The VF6 also comes with a modern look that includes split headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels and a glass roof.
The VinFast VF7 is equipped with a 70.8kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery which is capable of long distance driving. This battery works in both FWD and AWD variants. At the same time, the VF6 has a 59.6kWh battery, which is small in size and light in weight. Both electric SUVs are equipped with AC and DC fast charging facility, so that they can be charged quickly.
The VF6 is a single motor electric SUV that generates 204hp of power and 310Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.89 seconds. On the other hand, the VF7 will be launched in two variants – FWD and AWD. The FWD variant produces 204hp of power and 310Nm of torque while the AWD variant offers 350hp of power and 500Nm of powerful torque.
The VinFast VF6 has a WLTP certified range of 480 km, making it an impressive option in the segment. The VF7’s range varies as per the variant – the FWD variant offers a range of 450 km while the AWD variant has a WLTP range of 431 km.
Both the VF6 and VF7 come with premium and modern features. These include safety features like a large 12.9-inch touchscreen display, heads-up display, wireless mobile charger, ventilated seats, reclining rear seats, Level-2 ADAS technology and a total of 7 airbags. All these features make both the electric SUVs a high-tech and safe option.
The VF7 will be offered in four attractive colour options. These include Neptune Grey, Brahminy White, Crimson Red and Jet Black. All these colours are designed to attract both youth and family customers.
The VinFast VF6 and VF7 will be launched in India during this year’s festive season, which is believed to be between Dussehra and Diwali. The company will first launch the VF7 in the market and the sale of VF6 will start shortly after that.
The ex-showroom price of the VF6 is expected to be around ₹ 23 lakh, making it a competitive option in the mid-size electric SUV segment. At the same time, the price of the VF7 will vary according to its variant – the price of the FWD variant can reach around ₹ 26 lakh and the price of the AWD variant can reach around ₹ 29 lakh.
