India’s top four carmakers — Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, and Mahindra — are gearing up to shake up the compact car segment with exciting new launches this year. From next-gen SUVs to smarter hybrids and stylish facelifts, the upcoming lineup includes three compact SUVs and one refreshed hatchback. Here’s a quick look at what’s coming soon to Indian roads.
1. Mahindra XUV 3XO EV:
Mahindra is going to strengthen its hold on the electric segment in India. The company is preparing to launch the electric version of XUV 3XO soon. This new compact SUV will be positioned below the XUV400 and is being brought with the intention of directly competing with the Tata Punch EV.

Although the company has not yet made its technical specifications fully public, but according to reports, the range of this electric SUV can be around 400 to 450 km per charge. This makes it a perfect option for both city and highway.
The design of the XUV 3XO EV will be inspired by the XUV400, but it will get many new and unique elements to make it look different from its ICE (internal combustion engine) version. It is expected to get new LED headlamps, EV-badging, aerodynamic alloy wheels and a fresh interior layout.
This new offering from Mahindra will not only bring another option to Indian customers but will also intensify the competition in the EV market. If the company adopts an aggressive strategy regarding pricing and features, then the XUV 3XO EV can definitely create a stir in the EV segment.
2. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid:

Maruti Suzuki is now preparing to bring a hybrid version of its popular compact SUV Fronx. Recently a prototype of this car has been seen during testing, which indicates its launch soon.
There will not be much change in the Fronx Hybrid in terms of design and its exterior will remain the same as the current model. The real changes will be seen in its engine. Mild-hybrid technology can be added to it with a 1.2-liter Z12E petrol engine, which is taken from the smart-hybrid Dzire recently launched in the international market.
With the help of this hybrid system, there can be a significant improvement in the fuel efficiency of Fronx i.e. mileage, making it an even more attractive option for customers seeking mileage.
This strategy of Maruti Suzuki will not only be beneficial in terms of environment, but also takes into account the growing demand for hybrid cars in the Indian market. It is expected that the Fronx Hybrid will be launched by the company soon.
3. Tata Altroz Facelift:
Tata Motors has unveiled the facelift version of its premium hatchback Altroz in India. This updated model has a more stylish design and new features than before, which make it even more attractive.
The front of the Altroz Facelift now features a new grille, redesigned bumper and sharp LED headlamps. Also, its doors now have flush-type handles which give it a premium touch. At the rear, the connected LED tail light strip gives it an even more modern look.

Talking about the interior, the facelifted Altroz gets a completely new dashboard layout. It now includes two 26.03 cm HD displays – one for the instrument cluster and the other for touchscreen infotainment. Apart from this, features like ambient lighting, new seat upholstery and inbuilt air purifier have been provided to make the cabin even more comfortable.
Tata Altroz Facelift has become much better than before not only in terms of looks but also in terms of features. Its official launch is going to happen soon and it is ready to set a new benchmark in its segment once again.
