Top 10 Scooters May 2025 Price in India: Activa Still Rules, But Surprise Entry from Bajaj!

The sales figures for May 2025 are out, and they clearly show which brands have won and which have suffered a setback in the scooter segment. While the Honda Activa remains number 1, many other scooters have shown tremendous growth. Let’s take a look at the top 10 scooters and know the complete details of their sales performance.

Honda Activa

Honda Activa secured the first position with sales of 1,90,713 units in May 2025. However, it has seen a decline of -11.85% compared to last year. Despite this, it has the highest market share of 34.73%.

TVS Jupiter

TVS Jupiter sold 97,606 units in May 2025, which is a growth of 28.70% over last year. Its market share has now increased to 17.77%, making it the second best-selling scooter.

Suzuki Access

Suzuki Access registered sales of 75,778 units, which is 16.92% more than 2024. Its market share is 13.80%.

TVS XL and Honda Dio

TVS XL suffered a decline of -7.75%, while Honda Dio sales declined by -9.71%. A slight decline in the popularity of both these scooters can be clearly seen.

TVS iQube

Electric scooter TVS iQube has registered a year-on-year growth of 60.43% with 27,642 unit sales. It has now joined the top 5 scooters with 5.03% market share.

Bajaj Chetak

Bajaj Chetak has surprised everyone with an unmatched growth of 95.83%. 13,042 units were sold in May 2024, while in May 2025 it increased to 25,540 units. This indicates that consumers are now adopting EVs rapidly.

Ola S1

Ola S1 sales have fallen sharply by -50.52%. 37,389 units were sold in May last year, while this time only 18,501 units. This indicates that Ola is facing tough competition.

Slight increase in total sales

The total sales of the top 10 scooters stood at 5,49,157 units in May 2025, while this figure was 5,42,874 in May 2024. That is, a slight increase of 1.16%.

Conclusion

The scooter segment data for May 2025 clearly shows that traditional brands like Honda and TVS have maintained their hold, but electric models like Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube have also shown the impact of their presence. The demand for electric scooters is expected to increase further in the coming months.
