Jupiter 125
If any scooter has maintained its stable identity for a long time in the Indian two-wheeler market, then it is TVS Jupiter 125. Initially launched as a 110cc model, this scooter is now also available in 125cc avatar, and its popularity is constantly increasing. By April 2025, the total sales of Jupiter have crossed 76.49 lakh units, and in the month of April alone, this scooter has registered sales of 1,02,588 units, which shows a growth of 33 percent year-on-year. These figures clearly show how deep Jupiter has penetrated the hearts of Indian customers.
Now TVS is going to bring a new avatar of this scooter. The company has released a new teaser on its model-specific Instagram handle, giving a glimpse of the upcoming version of Jupiter 125 with taglines like ‘Bold New Look’ and ‘Style, Power, Performance’. This makes it clear that the company is going to launch this popular scooter in the market once again with a new style and better technology.
Jupiter 125 already comes with a 124.8cc engine, which gives 8.1 horsepower and 10.5Nm of torque. This scooter is available in three variants, whose prices (Mumbai ex-showroom) start from ₹ 88,496 and go up to ₹ 99,100. SmartXonnect disc brake system is also provided in the top variant. At the same time, the price of the entry-level Jupiter 110 starts at ₹ 79,591, which is still included in the company’s strong selling line.
Talking about the design of this new model of Jupiter 125, it is expected that it will follow the design language of Jupiter 110. However, new graphics, facial look and better ergonomics can be seen in it. For customers who are already satisfied with the ride quality and reliability of Jupiter, this new update will be another attraction.
TVS is going to offer Jupiter this time not only with better performance but also with better mileage, technology and smart features so that it can directly compete with strong rivals like Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Hero Destini 125.
Not only this, the company is going to take another big step – soon there is a plan to launch a CNG variant as well, which can be considered a visionary decision keeping in mind the rising fuel prices and environmental awareness in the country.
TVS Jupiter has recorded its best annual performance ever in FY25. Its total sales in this financial year stood at 11,07,285 units, which is 31 percent more than last year. This makes it clear that Jupiter is not just a scooter for the company, but the biggest selling two-wheeler. Jupiter alone has achieved 61 percent of TVS’s total scooter sales, and Jupiter has captured 31 percent of the 35.19 lakh units of the entire Indian scooter market.
In the last 12 financial years, TVS has sold a total of 75.4 lakh units of Jupiter, which is 62 percent of the company’s total scooter sales. This simply means that Jupiter has played an important role in keeping TVS at the top position in the Indian scooter segment.
Now that the Jupiter 125 is ready to come in its new avatar, the excitement in the market is at its peak. Looking at the company’s teaser strategy and the success of the old Jupiter, it would not be wrong to say that the new Jupiter 125 is going to create a stir in the market once again. Customers are eagerly waiting for its price, performance and new features, and it is expected that this scooter will also create new sales records like its predecessors.
If you want a scooter that is stylish, powerful and reliable, then the upcoming Jupiter 125 from TVS could be the perfect choice for you – just wait for its launch, which is not too far away.
