Tata Harrier
Tata Motors sold a total of 45,199 cars in April 2025, which is a decline of 5.61% compared to 47,885 units sold in April 2024 last year. At the same time, sales also saw a decline of 12.43% compared to March 2025, where Tata sold 51,616 units.
The best-selling car was the Tata Nexon (including EV), with 15,457 units sold in April 2025. This is a spectacular growth of 38.40% over the previous year, while its sales declined by 5.55% since March 2025.
Sales of the Tata Punch (including EV) have declined by a massive 34.77% year-on-year (YoY). In April 2024, 19,158 units were sold, while in April 2025 it fell to 12,496. It also registered a decline of 29.46% month-on-month (MoM).

Tata Tiago (including EV) sold 8,277 units in April 2025, which is 21.79% more than April last year. At the same time, its sales have increased by 4.17% as compared to March 2025, which shows that this car remains the choice of customers in the entry-level segment.
The newly introduced Tata Curv (Curvv / EV) has made a great entry by selling 3,149 units in April 2025. However, 3,785 units of it were sold in March 2025, which saw a decline of 16.80% in MoM.
The condition of Tata Altroz was slightly better this month. Compared to April 2024, its sales declined by 57.81%, but compared to March 2025, it registered an increase of 31%. In April 2025, 2,172 units were sold.

Tata Safari sold 1,340 units in April 2025, while it was 1,716 in April 2024. This is a decline of 21.91% on an annual basis. At the same time, compared to March 2025, it saw a decline of only 5.30%, due to which its position can be considered stable.
Sales of Tata Tigor (including EV) have also come down. Its 1,296 units were sold in April 2025, while it was 1,467 in March. It saw a decline of 11.66% on MoM basis. At the same time, it was also down 39.80% YoY.
Tata Harrier witnessed the biggest drop in sales. 1,012 units were sold in April 2025 as against 1,746 units sold in April 2024. This represents a decline of 42.04%. It also registered a decline of 20% MoM, indicating that customers are losing interest in this model.
Overall, Tata Motors sales declined by 5.61% YoY and 12.43% MoM in April 2025. While models like Nexon and Tiago performed well, a sharp decline in sales of models like Punch, Harrier and Tigor impacted the overall figures.

The month of April 2025 was a mixed one for Tata Motors. While some models like Nexon and Tiago performed well, the falling sales of Punch, Harrier and Tigor are a matter of concern. The newly launched Curvv sold well but showed signs of decline MoM. If Tata has to revive sales, it will have to work on a strategy to regenerate demand for its flagship models.
