In May 2025, Mahindra recorded a total sale of 52,431 units, up 21.32% over May last year. Thar/ROXX sold 10,389 units with a massive growth of 80.68%, while Scorpio/N led with 14,401 units. Electric SUVs like BE 6 and XEV 9e also performed strongly. At the same time, sales of XUV700 and Bolero also improved. However, sales of XUV 3XO and XUV400 EV declined. Overall, Mahindra’s sales remained stable and there was a growing trend towards electric vehicles.

Thar’s growth is over 80%
Thar/ROXX registered a YoY growth of 80.68% with sales of 10,389 units. It was Mahindra’s second best-selling vehicle, giving tough competition to Scorpio/N.
Scorpio/N still leads
Even though Scorpio/N’s YoY growth was only 4.99%, it remained the best-selling Mahindra SUV with sales of 14,401 units. Its market share was 27.47%.
BE 6 and XEV 9e increased strength in the electric segment
Mahindra’s new electric SUV BE 6 sold 1,206 units and registered a MoM growth of 119% compared to the previous month. At the same time, XEV 9e made a strong entry into the EV segment by selling 2,815 units.
Stable performance of Bolero and XUV700
Bolero showed 11.41% YoY and 6.71% MoM growth with 8,942 units. XUV700 also sold 6,435 units, registering a growth of 28.49% YoY.
Decline of XUV 3XO is a matter of concern
While most models sold well, XUV 3XO sales declined by -20.48% YoY, reflecting its lack of popularity.
Poor performance of XUV400 EV and Marazzo
XUV400 EV sales declined by 59.06%, while Marazzo registered sales of only 4 units, which brings it on the verge of closure.
