Royal Enfield’s cheapest hybrid bike will be launched soon – will create a stir with 250cc engine and 50+ kmpl mileage!

Royal Enfield For the first time in India, Royal Enfield is going to launch an entry-level premium hybrid motorcycle, which will get a 250cc CFMoto-sourced engine. This bike will not only be the brand’s most affordable offering, but will also be at the forefront in terms of mileage. Potential fuel efficiency of 50+ kilometers per liter, BS6 Phase II compliance and affordable price can make it a bike that will bring a new revolution in the two-wheeler market.

Will start with 250cc CFMoto engine

In this upcoming bike, Royal Enfield is going to use a 250cc engine provided by Chinese company CFMoto. This engine is lightweight, compact and suitable for hybrid setup. This will not only improve the performance of the bike, but the fuel efficiency will also be great. This is the same engine that the company will introduce with hybrid technology. The configuration of this engine has been done in such a way that it can meet both BS6 Phase 2 and the upcoming CAFE norms.

This Royal Enfield bike will be at the forefront in mileage

The mileage of this new 250cc hybrid bike of Royal Enfield is being told to be around 50+ kmpl. This will be the highest mileage of any Royal Enfield bike till date. Due to hybrid technology, this bike can prove to be much more economical than traditional petrol engine bikes. This mileage feature will especially attract those users who travel long distances every day and want to save petrol.

The price will be only ₹ 1.30 lakh, cheaper than Hunter 350

This hybrid bike will be positioned below Royal Enfield’s current Hunter 350. Its estimated ex-showroom price can be ₹ 1.30 lakh. Getting a premium bike with a 250cc hybrid engine at this price will be a really big deal. The brand aims to provide an affordable and powerful option to users upgrading from 100-150cc.

Unique use of hybrid technology

This Royal Enfield bike will include an electric motor along with a petrol engine, making it a true hybrid bike. This technology is being used in a motorcycle by a popular brand for the first time in India. The hybrid system makes the power delivery of the bike smooth and increases mileage. This will also reduce pollution compared to bikes with conventional engines.

Chassis and styling will be completely Royal Enfield’s

Although the engine will be taken from CFMoto, the entire bike will be manufactured by Royal Enfield itself. The chassis, body design, suspension, lighting, and all other components will be designed and manufactured by Royal Enfield. This means that the styling of the bike will completely reflect the signature look and strength of Royal Enfield.

Codename ‘V’ – Work being done on new 250cc platform

This all-new bike has been internally codenamed ‘V’ by Royal Enfield. This platform can become the base for many more bikes in the future. Work can be done on this platform on hybrid powertrain as well as petrol version. This new platform will give the company a strong position in the 250cc segment in the coming years.

Technical partnership with CFMoto, but without brand sharing

The technical agreement being done between Royal Enfield and CFMoto will not include any kind of cross-badging or joint venture. This means that the bike will be sold completely under the Royal Enfield brand. CFMoto will only supply the engine, all other components will be designed and assembled by Royal Enfield.

Big decisions taken at Shanghai Auto Show

Recently, the top officials of Royal Enfield attended the Shanghai Auto Show, where they held important discussions with CFMoto and other technical suppliers about this hybrid engine. This shows how serious Royal Enfield is about this project and how fast it is developing it.

Production will be done in Chennai plant, 90% local parts

Royal Enfield will manufacture this 250cc hybrid bike at its Chennai plant. The company aims to manufacture 85 to 90 percent of the components of this bike in India itself. This will not only keep the price of the bike under control, but it will also strengthen the “Make in India” initiative.

Target of 2 million units by 2030

Royal Enfield has set a target to increase its production from the current 1 million units to 2 million units by 2030. This hybrid bike will be an important part of this growth. While this goal may seem like a lofty one, it is also completely realistic considering the popularity and expansion of the brand.

Ideal bike for first-time upgraders

This bike is specially designed for customers who want to upgrade from a 100cc or 150cc commuter bike. They need a premium bike that is powerful, fuel efficient and does not put a strain on the pocket. Royal Enfield’s 250cc hybrid bike can be a perfect upgrade in this segment.

Compliant with BS6 Phase II and CAFE norms

The engine of this bike not only meets the current BS6 Phase II emission standards, but it is also compliant with the upcoming CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency) norms. This means that the bike will be environmentally responsible and is also ready for future regulations.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea – First Electric Bike Project

Royal Enfield is working on not only hybrid but also its first all-electric bike. The name of this electric series will be “Flying Flea” and the first model Flying Flea C6 is planned to be launched before March 2026. It is clear from this that the company is also serious about electric mobility.

750cc bikes are also being developed

Royal Enfield is preparing bikes in the 750cc engine category along with 250cc hybrid. This new series will come to the Indian market by the end of the year 2025 and will give a new identity to the company in the high performance bike segment. It is clear from this that the brand is planning to cover all segments.

Conclusion – Royal Enfield is bringing a new definition of premium bike

This upcoming 250cc hybrid bike can prove to be a game changer for Royal Enfield. It will be an offering that will satisfy the users in every aspect – mileage, price, technology and brand value. This bike will be a perfect choice in the Indian market, especially for first-time buyers of a premium bike.
