It will have the option of manual and AMT gearbox with 1.0L petrol engine. Features like auto AC, digital display, 8-inch touchscreen and cruise control will make it special. Features like 6 airbags, ESC and 360 degree camera can be found for safety. Its price may be slightly higher than Triber. Also, Nissan has also teased a new Duster-based SUV, which will be launched in 2026.
Nissan has released the teaser of its new 7-seater MPV for India, which will be based on the Renault Triber. The teaser shows the company’s signature front grille, newly designed LED DRLs, sporty bumpers, alloy wheels and roof rails. However, its projector headlamps look similar to the Triber.
Different upholstery and better material quality can be seen in the interior of this MPV. These changes will give it a different and more premium look than the Triber.
It will be given a 1.0 liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine like the Renault Triber, which generates 72bhp of power and 96Nm of torque. This engine will come with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options.
Features like auto AC, all-digital driver display can be found in this MPV. Also, features like 8-inch touchscreen, push-button start/stop, connected car technology and cruise control can also be taken from other Nissan cars.
For safety, this car can be equipped with features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), 360-degree camera and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
This Nissan MPV can be slightly more expensive than the Renault Triber. The Triber is priced between ₹ 6.10 lakh and ₹ 8.97 lakh (ex-showroom). This MPV will directly compete with the Triber, but at the same time it can also be an alternative to hatchbacks like Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
Along with this, Nissan has also introduced the silhouette teaser of its new SUV, which will be based on the upcoming Renault Duster. This SUV will be launched in the compact SUV segment in India and will take design inspiration from the Nissan Patrol SUV.
L-shaped LED DRLs, dual chrome strips, stylish alloy wheels and strong front bumper are visible in the teaser. Its look looks attractive and powerful.
This SUV can be given modern features like 10.1-inch touchscreen, 6 airbags and possible ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). It will be launched in 2026 and its price can start from ₹ 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
Nissan is preparing to make a strong comeback in the MPV and SUV segment in India. Both the Triber-based MPV and the Duster-based SUV can set a new trend in their respective segments. Even before the launch, their looks and potential features have made them a topic of discussion among customers.
