Hyundai Stargazer :- Hyundai has teased the new facelift version of the Stargazer MPV. This update comes with SUV-inspired design, new features and improved ride quality. This MPV, which is very popular in Southeast Asia, is now being prepared to be made even more premium and bold.
The biggest change in the Stargazer facelift will be seen in its exterior. Now its front end looks exactly like an SUV. The flat bonnet and straight upright stance give it more road presence than before.
The new teaser image shows redesigned headlights which now appear as rectangular LED units. Also, H-shaped LED DRLs have been given, which are found in a full-width bar along with indicator lights.
New grille and powerful bumper
The grille in the Hyundai Stargazer facelift is now wider than before and with a studded pattern. This gives it a more muscular look. The front bumper is also completely new, which includes ‘H’ shape elements. All this together gives the Stargazer a rough and tough look.
Minor changes in the side profile
Although the side profile has not changed much, a new alloy wheel design is definitely visible. Square wheel arches and traditional door handles maintain its existing look. The roofline is given in slight tapering which gives it a stylish finish.
H-shaped lighting elements
The rear profile of the Stargazer facelift also includes H-shaped lighting elements, which match the front look. The clean tailgate design at the rear and the rugged-style faux metallic bumper make it even more attractive.
Slight changes in size possible
Given the front design changes of the Hyundai Stargazer facelift, a slight change in its overall length is possible. However, other dimensions such as width (1780 mm), height (1695 mm) and wheelbase (2780 mm) are expected to remain the same as before.
Premium Stargazer
The X variant of the Hyundai Stargazer, which is a premium model, is also likely to get the same facelift update. It may get larger alloy wheels and additional features that will make it different from the regular version.
Digital interior
Although the complete picture of the interior has not been revealed, it is expected that the digital cockpit experience will be even better in the facelift version. It is likely to have a larger touchscreen infotainment system, updated instrument cluster and new touch-points.

6-seater and 7-seater options same as before
The Hyundai Stargazer facelift will also get a three-row seating format and 6-seater and 7-seater options will be available. This configuration will prove to be very useful in terms of family use.
Ride quality
Hyundai has indicated that the new Stargazer will handle the potholes and tight corners of Indian roads better. It is clear from this that the suspension setup is being upgraded in the facelift version, which will make the ride quality smoother and more comfortable than before.
The powertrain will remain the same
No major changes have been made in the engine segment in the Hyundai Stargazer facelift. It will still come with a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 115 PS of power.
The transmission option will be given a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox, which was also present earlier.
Launch
The Hyundai Stargazer facelift can be introduced at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) to be held in Indonesia on July 24, 2025. It is already ready for sale in the global market.
There have been rumors about the launch of Stargazer in India earlier, but nothing has been confirmed yet. If it is launched in India, it can give a direct competition to MPVs like Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Rumion.
The Hyundai Stargazer facelift is set to bring new vigour to the mid-size MPV segment with its SUV-inspired looks, premium features and improved ride quality. If it is priced competitively and launched in India, it can definitely make a big impact in the segment.
