Citroën India has launched a new version of its popular hatchback C3 – Limited Sport Edition. This new version not only comes with visual upgrades, but also remains the most powerful hatchback in its segment in terms of performance. The price of this edition has been kept ₹ 21,000 more than the standard variant.
The biggest change in this special edition is seen in its exterior. The new Garnet Red body shade has been introduced for the first time in the C3 range, which makes it more exclusive. Apart from this, ‘SPORT’ decals have been installed on the doors and side panels of the car which give it an aggressive and sporty look.
The sporty theme has also been carried forward in the cabin. Interior elements like seat covers, carpet mats and seatbelt cushions have been redesigned with a dark and contrast color palette. Apart from this, premium features like ambient lighting and brushed metal pedals have also been included in the cabin, which give it a different appeal.
Technically, there is no change in it. This Limited Sport Edition gets the same 1.2 liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, which generates 110 PS of power and 205 Nm of torque. This engine enables this car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 10 seconds, making it the fastest hatchback in its segment.
This engine is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, which gives better performance and smoother driving experience than the AMT commonly found in its segment.
An optional Tech Kit is also being offered with the Citroën C3 Sport Edition for ₹ 15,000. This kit includes modern features like wireless phone charger and dashcam, which will be made available with all variants.
