Audi Q5
The new generation Audi Q5 has been officially introduced, which is now based on the new PPC platform. It will get a 48V mild-hybrid system as standard which will give better mileage and performance. Its design includes LED lightbars, sporty bumpers and large alloy wheels. The cabin gets a 14.5-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster and adjustable rear seats. The SUV has been given high-tech features like matrix LED headlights, B&O sound system, ADAS features and heads-up display. Its launch in India is expected by the end of 2025.
Audi has officially introduced its third generation Q5 SUV. This new Q5 is now based on the company’s latest Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), which is a modular architecture designed for Audi’s new ICE vehicles. It now includes more technology and new hybrid powertrains.
The design of the new Audi Q5 has now become more premium and modern. It has Audi’s signature grille which is decorated with sharp LED headlamps. The S and S Line variants have sporty bumpers and wide air vents. The side profile of the car has clean lines and muscular rear haunches. Its wheel sizes are available in options ranging from 17 to 21 inches.
At the rear, this SUV has an attractive lightbar with LED taillights which gives the SUV a high-tech look. Apart from this, the rear windshield is slightly raked and there is a spoiler on top. The S Line and S versions get a sporty rear bumper with dual exhaust outlets.
The cabin of the new Audi Q5 is now more futuristic and high-tech than ever. It gets a large panoramic display unit that includes a 14.5-inch touchscreen and an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit instrument cluster. An optional 10.9-inch screen can also be added for the co-driver.
The rear seats can be moved fore and aft and their backrests can also be tilted, which can either provide more boot space or better comfort to the rear occupants.
This SUV has Audi’s Dynamic Interaction Light technology, which gives welcome greetings, turn indicators and other visual effects through lights. Apart from this, the spoiler has a projection light that projects graphics during braking. Along with this, OLED taillights, Matrix LED headlamps, B&O sound system, ADAS features and heads-up display are available.
The new Audi Q5 has MHEV Plus 48V Mild-Hybrid System as standard. This system gives an extra 24 bhp and 230 Nm of torque during acceleration. This SUV can do parking and slow movement on electric power to some extent.
The base model of the Q5 gets 2.0-litre TFSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel engines. At the same time, the sporty SQ5 version has a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 engine. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is standard in all variants.
The new Audi Q5 will be produced in Mexico and will be launched in Europe in early 2025. It is expected to arrive in the Indian market by the end of 2025.
