Mahindra Delivers 10,000+ BE6 and XEV 9e EVs in Just 70 Days – EV Rivals, Beware!

Mahindra & Mahindra introduced its first born-electric SUVs – Mahindra BE6 and XEV 9e in November. Their deliveries started from mid-March and within just 70 days, the company has handed over more than 10,000 units to customers. In the month of April alone, Mahindra has delivered more than 3,000 units of BE6 and XEV 9e, which shows the popularity of these vehicles.

The company is now going to start deliveries of their other variants – Pack One and Pack Two from July and August, which is expected to further boost sales. The price of Mahindra BE6 starts from ₹ 18.90 lakh and goes up to ₹ 26.90 lakh, while the price of XEV 9e ranges between ₹ 21.90 lakh to ₹ 30.50 lakh. Both vehicles are giving direct competition to Tata Harrier EV.

Talking about the battery, Mahindra BE6 gets two battery options – 59kWh and 79kWh. The smaller battery gives 231bhp power and 380Nm torque, while the larger battery comes with 286bhp power. Their range is 556km and 682km respectively. Mahindra BE6 is available only in RWD drive system.

At the same time, Mahindra XEV 9e comes in three trims – Pack One, Pack Two and Pack Three Select. The first two variants get a 59kWh battery, which gives an MIDC range of 542km with 231bhp power and 380Nm torque. The Pack Three variant has a 79kWh battery, which is capable of giving a range of 656km with 286bhp power and 380Nm torque.

Talking about color options, Mahindra BE6 is offered in six colors – Tango Red, Firestorm Orange, Desert Myst, Deep Forest, Everest White and Stealth Black. Apart from this, satin finish options like Desert Myst Satin and Everest White Satin are also available. Mahindra XEV 9e is available in seven colors – Tango Red, Everest White, Desert Myst, Nebula Blue, Ruby Velvet, Deep Forest and Stealth Black.

Overall, Mahindra’s BE6 and XEV 9e have made a great start in the electric SUV segment. With great range, strong power and attractive design, both these vehicles can become one of the market’s favorite EVs in the coming time.
