Hyundai is preparing to launch two of its popular models in India – Exter and Verna – with new facelifts in 2026. Both these vehicles were introduced in 2023, and now they are getting updates after only three years, which shows that the company is speeding up its product update cycle.
According to the latest spy pictures, the rear and side design of the updated Verna will remain almost the same as the current model. It will get the same 16-inch alloy wheels, similar taillights and a slightly changed rear bumper. Most of the changes will be in its front profile, as the nose of the current model is quite aggressive, which divides people into likes and dislikes.
There will not be much change in the interior, but features and safety technology may increase. Engine options will include 115hp 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 160hp 1.5L turbo petrol. Transmission options include CVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed manual as before. Prices could be higher at ₹17.58 lakh from the current ₹11.07 lakh.
On the other hand, the Hyundai Exter facelift is expected to get cosmetic changes along with some new features and improved safety kit. There will be no change in its 1.2L petrol engine (83hp) and CNG version (69hp). Also, manual and AMT transmission options will remain the same as before. Prices of the facelifted Exter could be slightly higher at ₹10.51 lakh from the current ₹6.00 lakh.
