Future-Ready: Top 3 Maruti Suzuki Cars Set to Launch in India by End of 2025

Maruti’s first electric SUV: e Vitara will change the EV game

Maruti Suzuki is India’s largest car manufacturer and is now going to enter the electric vehicle sector as well. The company will launch its first electric SUV e Vitara in the Indian market by September 2025. This SUV is specially designed on a new born-electric skateboard platform called Heartect-e, which will see a major improvement in the strength, safety and performance of the car. This car will be offered with two battery options – 61.1 kWh and 48.9 kWh. The variant with the larger battery will produce 171 bhp of power and 192 Nm of torque and it will be able to achieve a speed of 0 to 100 kmph in less than 9 seconds. At the same time, the smaller battery pack will produce 141 bhp of power. It is being claimed that its larger battery pack will give a range of more than 500 km, making it a long-distance car. This EV will attract customers who are looking for green energy, low operating costs and powerful performance. Its features may include advanced connectivity, digital display, fast charging support, and great safety technology. The e Vitara is being seen as an electric avatar of the Grand Vitara, but it will be much more modern and futuristic than that. Maruti will compete with cars like Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 and MG ZS EV through this car. It can prove to be a game changer in India’s electric vehicle market.

Maruti’s new mid-size SUV will give tough competition to Creta

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch an all-new 5-seater mid-size SUV this year, which will fill the space between Brezza and Grand Vitara in the company’s portfolio. This upcoming SUV has been internally codenamed Y17 and will be sold from the Arena dealership network. Its length may be longer than the Grand Vitara, which will give it more boot space and better leg room. According to reports, its possible name could be “Escudo”, although the company has not confirmed it yet. Talking about the engine option, it is expected to get 1.5 liter K15C mild hybrid, 1.5 liter strong hybrid, and CNG variants. Apart from this, there may also be an option of all wheel drive (AWD), making this SUV suitable for off-roading and bad roads. The design of this car will be bold, modern and youth-oriented. It can get LED headlamps, digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats and advanced safety features like 6 airbags, ADAS, and 360 degree camera. This SUV will give tough competition to models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate and Toyota Hyryder. This strategy of Maruti will give it even more strength in the SUV segment, and will provide a new and affordable option to the customers. Its launch is believed to be fixed by December 2025.

Fronx Hybrid: A combination of high efficiency and powerful technology

Maruti Suzuki will introduce a facelift version of its popular crossover Fronx by the end of 2025, which will include the company’s new in-house developed series-hybrid HEV powertrain. This technology will come with a 1.2 liter Z12E petrol engine that will enable the Fronx to act as a range extender. Its main aim is to deliver more mileage and lower emissions. This new hybrid model is expected to deliver fuel efficiency of 30 kmpl or more, making it one of the most fuel-efficient hybrids in India. This car will be primarily for those customers who are upset with petrol prices but do not want to go completely to EV. Apart from this, the facelifted Fronx is likely to get features like a new front grille, LED headlights, new interior theme, and a larger touchscreen infotainment system. This hybrid version will attract young customers who want a balance of technology, performance and fuel efficiency. This hybrid system developed by Maruti promises to deliver similar performance at a lower cost than Toyota’s THS technology. This model will not only increase the popularity of the Fronts but will also strengthen Maruti’s presence in the hybrid segment. Its launch is also believed to be scheduled in the last quarter of 2025.
