Brezza CNG vs Dzire CNG? The Real Winner Revealed!

If you are planning to buy a Brezza CNG car and are confused between two popular Maruti Suzuki cars Brezza CNG and Dzire CNG – then this article can be very helpful for you. Both the cars are excellent in their own place, but one of them can prove to be better depending on the usage.

In this article, we will give you a comparison of both Brezza and Dzire CNG versions – we will discuss every important aspect like mileage, ground clearance, features, range, driving experience and resale value.

Design and Stance

People especially like Brezza for its SUV-like design, high stance and strong road presence. Sitting in it gives the experience of a tall vehicle, which gives a different confidence in city traffic and bad roads. On the other hand, Dzire is a sedan, whose design is classic and simple but its road stance is not that impressive.

If you are someone who likes a high seating feel, clear visibility and body stance, then the Brezza will definitely be more satisfying than the Dzire.

Ground clearance

There is a clear difference between Maruti Brezza CNG and Dzire CNG in terms of ground clearance. Brezza CNG has a ground clearance of 198 mm, which helps in easily crossing bad roads, uneven roads and high speed breakers. On the other hand, Dzire CNG has a ground clearance of only 163 mm, which is sufficient for normal city roads but if you travel a lot in potholed or rural areas, then there is a possibility of scrapping. If you use it in Delhi-NCR areas like Gurugram, Ghaziabad or Noida, where not every road is the same, then Brezza CNG becomes a more reliable option in this case.

Mileage and range

Both Maruti CNG cars are known for mileage, but there is a big difference in this aspect between Brezza and Dzire. Dzire CNG gives a mileage of around 31.12 km/kg, while Brezza CNG gives a mileage of around 25.51 km/kg. This difference becomes more significant when your daily distance is between 150 and 200 km. Dzire can run around 220 to 230 km on a single full tank of CNG, while in Brezza this range is limited to 160 to 170 km. If your daily travel is more and CNG stations are not available everywhere, especially in rural areas, then Dzire gives more convenience in this case as you will not have to refill CNG mid-way.

Expenses on petrol mode

If the CNG runs out mid-way and you have to drive on petrol mode, then Dzire is lighter and gives better mileage with petrol engine, whereas Brezza has a heavy body and driving on petrol mode can be more expensive.

Resale value

Dzire has been popular in the taxi market for a long time, due to which its resale value remains strong. Taxi operators, people with commercial use, and small family users like Dzire a lot.

While Brezza is definitely an SUV, the CNG version is new and it is not very popular in taxis. Therefore, when selling after 5 years, the demand for Brezza may be less than Dzire.

Brezza CNG Driving experience

Driving Brezza gives a more fun and strong experience. High seat positioning and wide wheelbase make it more stable. Dzire is lighter, so it is easy to drive in traffic but its bonnet is sloping and some people may have problems with forward visibility.

For users like you, who are not very tall and like to see the end of the bonnet, Brezza gives better driving command.

Price and EMI

The price of Dzire is less than Brezza, so the EMI will also be less. If you are taking a loan, then both taking and repaying the loan on Dzire can be easier. On the other hand, Brezza is an SUV, so its ownership cost will be slightly higher.

Final Verdict

  • If your primary usage is rural, on bad roads, and you want a rugged SUV experience, then Brezza CNG is better for you.
  • If your main goal is high mileage, low expenses and good resale value in the future, then Dzire CNG is a more sensible choice.
  • If you want a balance between the two, then Baleno CNG can also be considered.

Ultimately, the decision will depend on your usage and preferences. Mileage and range are a must when choosing a CNG car, but at the same time, don’t ignore comfort, driving style and ground clearance.
