Ather Rizta Hits 1 Lakh Sales in Just 1 Year!

Ather Rizta has taken the family scooter segment in India by storm with record-breaking sales of 1 lakh units in just one year. Its great range, comfortable design and advanced features make it perfect for riders of all ages. Features like a range of 123 to 160 km, top speed of 80kmph and traction control make it different from other scooters. Large seat, 34 liters of storage and easy handling make it a reliable family scooter. Ather Rizta is the new name for smart and safe riding today.

Created a new record in sales

Ather Rizta was launched in April 2024 and in just one year this electric scooter has crossed the 1 lakh sales mark. According to the SIAM report, by the beginning of May, 99,691 units of it had been sold and by the end of April 2025 this figure reached 1 lakh. In the month of April alone, 10,052 units of Rizta were sold, which accounted for 73.57 percent of the company’s total sales.

Why is Ather Rizta so popular?

Ather Rizta is being liked for its practical design, large storage space and easy riding experience. It has been specially designed as a family scooter. It has comfortable seats, modern design and 34 liters of underseat storage, making it perfect for everyday needs.

Design and size

Unlike the Ather 450 range, the Rizta has a rounded and boxy look. It gets rectangular LED headlights that come with indicators. Its taillights are also sleek and modern. The Rizta is wider and slightly shorter than the 450X, making it easier to drive and handle. Its seat height is 780mm and ground clearance is 165mm.

Battery and range

The Ather Rizta is available in two variants – S and Z. Both get a 2.9kWh battery, while the Z variant also has the option of a 3.7kWh battery. The 2.9kWh battery gives an IDC range of 123km while the 3.7kWh battery gives a range of up to 160km. Its top speed is 80kmph and it can run in water up to 400mm.

Lots of features

Rizta is India’s first electric scooter to feature a traction control system. The S variant gets a DeepView LCD dashboard, while the Z variant gets a TFT display. It gets two riding modes like Zip and SmartEco. Apart from this, features like Magic Twist, Reverse Mode and Hill-Hold are also included.

Color options

Ather Rizta is offered in seven colors – Alphonso Yellow, Cardamom Green, Deccan Grey, Siachen White, Pangong Blue, Deep Forest and a classic white shade. These colors give the scooter a young and fresh look.
