Aprilia has launched its new performance scooter SR 175 in the Indian market. Its starting price has been kept at ₹ 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom). This scooter is positioned above the SR 160 and will compete directly with the Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155. The Aprilia SR 175 has a new 174.7cc air-cooled, 3-valve, single-cylinder hp.e engine, which generates 12.92 hp power at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm. This engine is equipped with a high-responsive CVT transmission. In comparison, the SR 160 engine gives 11.27 hp and 13.44 Nm torque. The design of SR 175 is quite similar to SR 160, but it has a new livery inspired by RS 457. Glossy Tech White and Matt Prismatic Dark – these two color options are available. Both variants have red-color alloy wheels which give it a more sporty look.
