Force Urbania: Force Motors’ premium van Urbania is once again in the news. Recently this van was seen during testing, and the information that has come out with it is quite exciting for the Indian automobile market. It is reported that the company is now working on the automatic variant of Urbania, which is being prepared first for foreign markets, but in future it can also be launched in India.

Urbania is the only large premium van in the country, which is offered by a mainstream manufacturer to private buyers. Earlier this van was designed for tourism, self-employed professionals and city transit operators, but later it was opened to private users as well.
Force Urbania is sold not only in India, but also in global markets like UAE, Saudi Arabia and Nepal. It comes in both LHD (Left-Hand Drive) and RHD (Right-Hand Drive) options.

Recently Rohit S. The spy images taken by Shinde show the new Force Urbania LHD variant being tested. This model is sold in countries where Right Hand Traffic (RHT) rules apply. Although this test mule was not automatic, according to sources, the company is working on an automatic transmission version, which will first come for the export market.
Will the Gurkha also get an automatic gearbox?
The impact of testing automatic transmission in Urbania is not limited to this van only. Force Motors uses the same engine in all its models – the FM CR 2.6L turbo diesel engine sourced from Mercedes. In such a situation, if the automatic gearbox is ready, it can also be introduced in the Force Gurkha.
Currently, the Gurkha comes only with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while its rival Mahindra Thar is available with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions with both petrol and diesel options. If the Gurkha also gets an automatic option, then its demand in the market can increase manifold.
