Hyundai
Hyundai has made a big plan to launch 26 new vehicles by 2030, which will include ICE, hybrid and electric vehicles. The company’s maximum focus is being seen in the SUV segment. The first to be discussed in Hyundai’s upcoming SUV lineup is the new generation Hyundai Venue, which is going to be launched in October 2025. This sub-compact SUV will see minor but stylish changes inside and outside. It is expected to get a new dashboard, new upholstery, updated center console and ambient lighting. Also, it can be given a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and updated ADAS features. Engine options will remain the same – 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel.
The Hyundai Bayon, which will be launched in mid-2026, will bring a new 1.2L TGDi petrol engine to the Indian market, which has been specially developed for India. This engine will give better torque and will also be ahead in mileage. This engine will be more powerful than the 1.0L turbo petrol of Venue and will prove to be more compact and fuel-efficient than the 1.5L turbo of Creta. Like the international model, it can have premium features like 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, digital driver display, 8-speaker Bose system and wireless charging. In India, this SUV will give a direct competition to Maruti Fronx.
Hyundai will launch its micro electric SUV, Inster EV, in the second half of 2026. It is being brought to directly compete with Tata Punch EV. In the global market, this vehicle comes in two battery pack options – a 97bhp 42kWh standard variant and a 115bhp 49kWh long range variant. Both have a claimed range of around 300 km. It has modern features like dual 10.25-inch screen setup, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, ADAS features and automatic climate control. This EV will be introduced keeping in mind the young customers.
Hyundai will launch the new generation model of its most popular SUV Creta in 2027, codenamed SX3. This time there will be a big change in Creta – as it will come with a hybrid powertrain. It is expected to use an electric motor and strong hybrid technology along with a 1.5L petrol engine. However, the existing engine options – 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.4L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel – will also be retained in the new model. The design and interior will also see a major upgrade, making this SUV more premium and high-tech than before.
Hyundai’s most premium SUV Palisade will be launched in India in 2028 and will be the brand’s flagship offering. This full-size SUV will be equipped with Hyundai’s next-generation hybrid system and will be offered with two petrol engine options – 1.6L and 2.5L. In India, it can be offered exclusively with a 2.5L engine, which will also have high-end features like regenerative braking and V2L (vehicle-to-load) charging technology. This configuration will be capable of delivering a powerful power of 334bhp and torque of 460Nm. This car will be for those customers who want luxury, technology and powerful performance together.
This upcoming SUV lineup of Hyundai is going to create a stir in the Indian market. From affordable SUVs like Venue and Bayon to premium vehicles like Creta Hybrid and Palisade, the company is preparing to cover every segment. From 2025 to 2028, Hyundai is going to introduce something big every year for SUV lovers – and from the trend that is seen, it is clear that the upcoming SUV market is going to be in the name of Hyundai!
