4 Upcoming SUVs That Will Rule Indian Roads in 2025!

The Indian auto SUV industry is going to have a big bang in 2025, as big companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors and Mahindra are preparing to launch their powerful SUVs. Maruti is bringing Escudo – an affordable SUV that will be a smaller version of the Grand Vitara. Hyundai Venue will return with new design and features. Tata will offer its iconic Sierra in petrol, diesel and electric variants, while Mahindra’s XEV 7e will be a fully electric SUV that will take the market by storm with great range and features. The competition in the SUV segment is going to be very exciting.

Maruti Escudo

Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming new 5-seater SUV can be named Escudo. This SUV will come with design and features inspired by Grand Vitara, but it will be sold through Arena dealerships. This SUV will be slightly larger than Grand Vitara in size and will have more boot space. It will get the same platform and powertrain as Grand Vitara, which will make its performance very reliable. It can be launched at the end of 2025.

New Generation Hyundai Venue

The new-gen Venue coming in 2025 will bring a big change compared to its current model. It will get premium features like new design, large infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats. Level 2 ADAS technology can also be added for safety. Although the engine setup will be the same as the current model, it will touch new heights in features and technology. Its launch is believed to be fixed in October 2025.

Tata Sierra

The much-awaited Tata Sierra will be available in three powertrain options – petrol, diesel and electric. It will have high-end features like triple screen dashboard, ambient lighting, auto dimming IRVM, ADAS, 540 degree camera, JBL sound system and Dolby Atmos. This Tata SUV will not only be a modern version of the classic look but can also take the market by storm in terms of features. It can be launched in October 2025.

Mahindra XEV 7e

This fully electric SUV from Mahindra – XEV 7e – will be the electric version of the company’s flagship EV XUV700. It will get 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options, with an estimated range of 542km and 656km respectively. This SUV will borrow many design elements from the XEV 9e and can also be offered with an all-wheel drive system option. This SUV can bring a big revolution in the electric segment and its launch is expected by the end of 2025.
