2025 Mahindra Bolero Coming Soon! Bold Style & High-Tech Features Revealed!

Mahindra Bolero is preparing to introduce its popular SUV Bolero in an all-new avatar. The new generation Bolero, which has been seen several times during testing, now looks more refined, safer and future-ready than ever. While retaining the boxy style like Thar, this time the Bolero has been given a modern touch, making it the most premium update ever.

The biggest change in the new Bolero will be seen in its platform. Instead of the traditional ladder frame, Mahindra has now designed this SUV on the New Flexible Architecture (NFA), which is a monocoque multi-energy platform. This platform supports diesel, petrol, hybrid and fully electric powertrains. The company will officially unveil this platform on 15 August 2025 and then many more information related to it will also be revealed.

Mahindra Bolero Performance

Talking about the design, the new Bolero now has circular LED headlights instead of trapezoidal headlamps, which look quite similar to Thar and Roxx. The front fascia is completely upright, which further strengthens the boxy stance of the SUV. The grille now comes with parallel slats, whereas the older model used to have angled slats. Apart from this, the massive bumper and clamshell style bonnet give it both an urban and rough-tough character.

The biggest feature of the new Bolero is its advanced safety package. Spy shots seen during testing indicate that it is going to get Level-2 ADAS features, like those available in the XUV 3XO. Possible ADAS features may include forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition. These features will be available especially in its top variants, which can make it the safest SUV in its segment.

The boxy design of the SUV has also been further highlighted in the side and rear profile. The roof of the SUV is now completely flat and the beltline also looks straight. At the same time, the spare tire is still present on the tailgate, which is part of its iconic identity. The wheel arches are as wide as before, although there may be a slight change in their design which is hidden under the camouflage. The SUV has newly designed ORVMs, which have turn indicators along with cameras and sensors that will be part of the ADAS system. It also has new 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels that give the SUV a premium appeal.

Although the official pictures of the interiors of the new Bolero have not been revealed yet, it is expected that the top variants will now get features like touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, USB charging ports and steering mounted controls. Keeping connectivity in mind, features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay can also be included in it.

The monocoque platform of the new Bolero will reduce its NVH level to a great extent, making the ride quality better than before. In terms of safety, features like 6 airbags, rearview camera, speed alert system and tire pressure monitoring system can be included in it. Apart from this, elements like adjustable headrest and rear center armrest are also likely to be available to enhance passenger comfort.

Talking about engine specifications, the new generation Bolero may continue with the existing engine options. Currently, Mahindra Bolero has been given mHAWK75 diesel engine which generates 75 PS of power and 210 Nm of torque. At the same time, Bolero Neo gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine which gives 100 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines come with 5-speed manual transmission. However, due to the NFA platform, petrol, hybrid and electric versions of Bolero can also be seen in the future.

The company is also planning to launch the electric version of the new Bolero i.e. Bolero EV in 2026. Which will make this SUV an all-in-one package for both rural and urban buyers.

The new generation Mahindra Bolero can be priced around ₹ 10 lakh to ₹ 12 lakh (ex-showroom) and its official teaser or launch details are likely to be revealed in August 2025.

This new generation of Mahindra Bolero will not only carry forward its legacy but will also establish it as a completely modern and technologically advanced SUV.
